With some players rusty, and others new, we decided it would be a blast to get fans and players to train for what's about to come… We launched the truck in the real world.
We transformed Los Angeles into a real-life game map and challenged fans to track down the Loot Truck as it cruised the streets, using clues shared on Discord, X, and a Twitch livestream. Discord was ablaze and mobs were running down to hunt the truck, we gave out codes across multiple platforms every time somebody managed to 'shoot' our truck's QR code, while the winner winner themselves managed to score limited-edition loot and crates with of G-coins for that in-game swag.
The event was a huge hit, attracting players to come down with their daughters to hunt with them, friends in groups, or and even this one player who hadn't managed to get anything in the early day, but came back down after their shift ended just to try again… and this time with the whole of the PUBG discord chat cheering him on.
What a g.
